Welcome to the first edition of the Troiani Rink Report. I’m Gayle Troiani. You may recognize my name from the work I did for NESN.com.
When NESN decided to eliminate its Editorial department, I decided to move on and not join the third party. I figured if I was going to write freelance, it might as well be on my terms, writing about what I love — hockey (and maybe a little bit about other sports, depending on my mood).
I will cover a variety of hockey topics, including the NHL, with a focus on the Boston Bruins, as well as the PWHL, specifically the Boston Fleet. I will also touch on the AHL, particularly the Providence Bruins, and NCAA hockey, with a particular emphasis on Hockey East and the Beanpot.
You can also catch me as the co-host of the “What’s Bruin” podcast with Chris Nosek. I am not filling Dom Tiano’s shoes, because let’s be real — no one can fill his shoes, and he is missed. I look forward to his return and the three of us building on what they have already created. You can listen to the show on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and watch us on YouTube.
Here’s a little insight into who I am and why I love hockey:
