We now know the draft order for the 2025 PWHL Entry Draft.
The league announced Friday night the official order for the eight clubs in the annual draft, scheduled June 24 in Ottawa.
The New York Sirens earned the first overall pick after missing the playoffs and earning the most ‘Gold Plan’ draft points for the second consecutive season.
The Boston Fleet hold the second seed after failing to make the postseason in the league’s second season, followed by Toronto Sceptres, who were the lowest-ranked playoff team in the 2025 season.
Here’s how the first round will take place:
- New York Sirens
- Boston Fleet
- Toronto Sceptres
- Montréal Victoire
- Ottawa Charge
- Minnesota Frost
The two expansion teams in Vancouver and Seattle will round out the draft order with the seventh and eighth selections, respectively. A random draw determined the first-round order of selection between expansion clubs, and they will alternate positions in all subsequent rounds of the Draft. The six inaugural teams will maintain their order of selection in all six rounds.
Fans can watch the draft as it unfolds live on the PWHL’s YouTube channel or with the live tracker on the league’s website.
All eight teams will be permitted to sign players on expiring contracts and complete trades beginning at 9 a.m. ET on June 16. Trades may include 2025 PWHL Draft picks. The signing period will pause at 2 p.m. ET on June 27 and reopen at 9 a.m. ET on July 8, per the league.
