Hampus Lindholm makes his preseason debut
The Boston Bruins are 1-1-0 in preseason action, and look to build on their overtime win against the New York Rangers when they take on the Philadelphia Flyers at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday.
The Black and Gold will get a boost on the blue line when top defenseman Hampus Lindholm makes his first appearance in game action since the Nov. 12 tilt against the St. Louis Blues last season.
Lindholm sustained a lower-body injury late in the first period in the Bruins’ win over the Blues. The veteran defenseman blocked a Justin Faulk shot and crashed to the ice with 3:08 remaining in the opening frame and did not return in the contest.
Here is the Bruins’ full roster for the tilt with the Rangers, per the team:
Forwards: Dalton Brancroft, Johnny Beecher, Patrick Brown, Riley Duran, Michael Eyssimont, Brett Harrison, Mark Kastelic, Marat Khusnitdinov, Sean Kuraly, Georgii Merkulov, Riley Tufte, Jeffrey Viel, Pavel Zacha
Defensemen: Jonathan Aspirot, Frederic Brunet, Michael Callahan, Jordan Harris, Henri Jokiharju, Hampus Lindholm, Mason Lohrei
Goaltenders: Luke Cavallin, Michael DiPietro, Simon Zajicek
Philadelphia enters the contest 1-2-0 in preseason action. The Flyers dropped a 5-1 decision to the Washington Capitals on Thursday night. Their lone win came in the shootout against the New York Islanders to kick off their preseason campaign.
Puck drop from Xfinity Mobile Arena is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.
