The Boston Bruins begin a three-game road trip Thursday when they face the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena.

The Black and Gold look to get back in the win column after losing their first game of the season Monday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Head coach Marco Sturm confirmed forward Jeffrey Viel would make his season debut for Boston when he slots in for Marat Khusnutdinov and defenseman Hampus Lindholm will remain out of the lineup and still considered day-to-day, per team reporter Belle Fraser.

After sitting out of Monday’s matinee at TD Garden, Jeremy Swayman is expected to start in net for Boston. He is 2-0-0 with a .966 save percentage, with 56 saves in his two starts this season, and has only allowed one goal in each of those contests.

Vegas has been up and down to start the season, but they have yet to lose in regulation. The Golden Knights are coming off a 4-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday. The Bruins will have the task of shutting down Jack Eichel, who leads Vegas with four goals and five assists for nine points.
