The Boston Bruins snapped their six-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. The Black and Gold will look to build momentum off the victory when they face off with the Ottawa Senators on Monday night.
Murat Khusnutdinov will slot back into the lineup, replacing John Beecher on Boston’s fourth line. Khusnutdinov has one assist in five games this season. He last played in the Bruins’ 3-2 loss to the Utah Mammoth on Oct. 19, which ended Boston’s three-game road trip.
Michael Callahan will play in his second straight game after being recalled from Providence on Wednesday. Callahan had three blocked shots and one hit in 14:01 of ice time across 20 shifts in Boston’s win over the Avalanche.
Across the sheet, the Senators are coming off a 7-1 victory over the Capitals in Washington. Leevi Merilainen is expected to get the start in net for Ottawa. The 23-year-old netminder has made one start for the Senators this season, an 8-4 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. Merilainen gave up seven goals, including three while the Sabres were on the man advantage, in the loss.
Puck drop from Canadian Tire Centre is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on NESN and 98.5 The Sports Hub
