The Bruins return to TD Garden to host the Vegas Golden Knights after splitting a two-game road trip.
The 5-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks to extend Boston’s winning streak to six games was followed by a 6-2 demoralizing loss to the Dallas Stars.
One positive from the loss was Morgan Geekie breaking a 12-game scoring drought with his first goal since Dec. 20 against the Vancouver Canucks. Geekie tallied his team-leading 26th goal of the season in the third period on the power play.
David Pastrnak extended his point streak to four games with the primary assist on Geekie’s goal. Pastrnak has one goal and four assists across the last four games and leads the Black and Gold with 60 points in 45 games.
Across the ice, the Golden Knights dropped their last game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday after winning the previous seven.
Both clubs are looking to get back in the win column after having their extended win streaks snapped. Vegas squeaked out a 5-6 victory over Boston in the first meeting at T-Mobile Arena on Oct. 16. The B’s have an overall record of 8-5-2 against the Knights, including 4-2-1 on Causeway.
Puck drop from TD Garden is slated for 7 p.m. on NESN and 98.5 The Sports Hub.
